You can't turn on the TV or look at your social media feed these days without seeing the effects of what we (humans) are doing to our earth, it really is sad that it has gotten to this point.
The slowly growing positive to come out of this is that we are finally starting to wake up and do something about it and at Local Colour Hair Studio, we wanted to join that crusade to be better personally and as a business.
We are very excited to announce we have joined the Sustainable Salons revolution to help do our part for the environment.
So what is Sustainable Salons?
Simply put... A social enterprise that rescues up to 95% of salon resources from landfill and finds re-purposing solutions that benefit our planet, all while supporting the community!
Sustainable Salons have provided us with various bins for different waste streams. We recycle up to 95% of waste that comes through our Scarborough and Subiaco salons.
As you can see at Sustainable Salons nearly nothing goes to waste. They do amazing work and we are very proud to be apart of it. For more info check out sustainablesalons.org or ask one of the team next time you visit us.
